The High Museum of Art Atlanta is the leading art institution serving the Southeastern United States. The High is dedicated to supporting and collecting works by Southern artists and is distinguished as the only major museum in North America to have a curatorial department specifically devoted to the field of folk and self-taught art.

The Westobou Festival, designed to celebrate Augusta's wealth of artistic talent, will encompass a variety of performances and presentations by local, regional, and nationally-recognized individuals and organizations, primarily in the disciplines of dance, music, theatre and visual arts. The 10-day celebration is expected to draw visitors from Georgia, South Carolina, and beyond.
